Beginning of Mojoca (Movimiento de Jóvenes de la Calle).
This movement was born mainly in the streets, in the places where they live, work, eat, sleep, meet, play and discuss their rights and problems. The idea of a self-organised movement arouses enthusiasm in boys and girls: the eldest ones, in a spontaneous meeting without the presence of any adult, appoint two representatives and decide to buy exercise-books and pens so to start schooling courses. The movement rapidly enlarges to other groups (for a total of one tenth of groups and some hundreds of girls and boys) thanks to the work and presence of adult girls and volunteers.
